Investigation into shootings in North Miami Seaside that resulted in a person hospitalized
NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Florida. – Surveillance cameras rolled outside a popular Miami-Dade County fast food restaurant as authorities investigated a shootout.
It happened on Saturday in North Miami Beach around 8 p.m.
Police said they received a call about gunfire being fired along Northeast 167th Street.
When the officers arrived, they found a man at a gas station with an apparent gunshot wound.
First responders took the man to a nearby hospital.
Meanwhile, investigators discovered that the situation began in the Wendy’s passage across the street, where they found the man who had been shot.
The fast food restaurant was cordoned off for much of the night while police searched for evidence.
Witnesses said a car sped out of the area shortly after the shooting.
Authorities said the man who was shot is likely to be okay.
The police did not provide a description of the vehicle driving away and did not provide any information about possible suspects.
