Miami Seashore Police Officer Discharged From Hospital After Months Of Remedy For COVID – WSVN 7News | Miami Information, Climate, Sports activities

MIAMI BEACH, FLA. (WSVN) – A Miami Beach cop is finally making his way home from the hospital.

Miami Beach Police Officer JC Sampedro was released Monday after being admitted for COVID-19 in July.

Family, friends and colleagues at the hospital entrance applauded and cheered as a hospital worker rolled the patient out in the wheelchair.

The video showed the officers visibly emotional how he was hugged by loved ones.

Sampedro spent 11 weeks in intensive care and even needed a ventilator to breathe.

Doctors said he would continue his recovery at home.
