Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, Jenny Patrizia and Sabrina Cohen among the BWOTY (Badass Women of the Year) winners of the Miami Beach Chamber presented by the City National Bank

The Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce’s Women’s Business Council, Loews Miami Beach, and City National Bank recently honored seven exceptional women at their first Badass Women of the Year Awards lunch.

Over 270 professionals gathered at Loews Miami Beach to recognize exceptional women in traditionally male-dominated industries. Each winner received $ 1,000 that was donated to a nonprofit focused on improving the lives of women and girls in our community.

The BWOTY 2021 winners and their categories were: Lynda V. Harris, REVA Development Corp. (Construction industry); Traci Sierra, Miami Beach Police Dept. (Military / first responder); Dr. Eneida O. Roldan, FIU (science / technology); Sabrina Cohen, Sabrina Cohen Foundation (Diversity, Inclusion & Equity); Mayor Daniella Levine Cava (Government); Paula Pearson-Tucker, Fore Life, Inc. (sports); Jenny Patrizia, Ageless Chic Magazine (General Business)

“We still have a long way to go, but this event showed that we are actually making progress and it is important to recognize that,” said DeAnne Connolly Graham, Chair of the Women’s Business Council and Robin Jacobs, Chief Executive Officer. “To see over 80 nominations from these (totally) badass women in these seven male-dominated categories was very encouraging and encouraging for everyone.”
