MIAMI BEACH, FLA. (WSVN) – Argentina fans celebrated along Miami Beach after their team reached the finals with a 2-1 victory against England.

While some fans were worried at the start of the game, their team pulled through and punched their ticket to the finals.

7Skyforce hovered above 73rd Street and Colins Avenue as fans poured onto the street to party for hours after their victory.

“We have to celebrate, we have to have a good time,” said an Argentina fan.

“We’re going to give everything like we usually do, we’re going to give everything we have, it’s all we can do,” said another Argentina fan.

“I think the fourth star is coming, I think it’s magic about to happen,” said a fan.

Fans on the street outside the Miami Beach Bandshell said the beginning of the game was nerve-wracking, but they always knew their boys would pull through.

“Very worried, but I knew Argentina’s got it, and they work under tension, and we needed some tension to get the game going,” said Israel Elia, an Argentina fan.

An Argentina fan named Mia shared her thoughts in Spanish with 7News, saying that Argentina are the world champions and will remain champions.

Other fans in Miami Beach shared what their team’s victory meant for them.

“Unbelievable. I’m half Brazilian, half Argentinian, rooted for Argentina when this World Cup started, but I’m going all the way for Argentina,” said Elia.

“This is Argentina. You go to Argentina, and you’re going to feel this. This happiness, this joy. It’s ours. The cup is ours,” said an Argentina fan. “This is life in Argentina; it’s normal for us. And we love to celebrate, because we’re a country that suffered a lot of things, so when we have this, it’s a time of joy for us.”

Argentina has made 19 World Cup appearances and has been victorious in 1978, 1986, and 2022.

Cheers erupted after the first goal, which tied the game, and after the second goal, which led to their success.

Before the game, fans camped outside of Manolo wearing their light blue and white jerseys.

“To be with my fellow Argentinians, the atmosphere is always great, and every time the game finishes, no matter if we lose or win, we’ll go outside and celebrate, and that’s basically the beauty of it,” said Juan Clamente.

Some experienced fans were ready to go hours ahead, but nervous as ever.

“Five hours before the match, and the last match versus Switzerland, we arrived six hours before,” said Patricio Dutrey.

“We’re very nervous, so we can’t eat a lot, because we are nervous,” said Laura Sposito.

Argentina is set to play against Spain in the final on Sunday.
