MIAMI BEACH, FLA. (WSVN) – Police have arrested four people in connection with a confrontation outside a restaurant in Miami Beach.

Miami Beach Police responded to the Pennsylvania Avenue and Eighth Street areas at around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The cell phone video captured a group of people engaged in a loud verbal battle outside The Licking restaurant on Washington Avenue and Eighth Street. According to the police, several people threw bottles on the windows and on security guards.

Then security and others from The Licking chased the people who appeared to toss the objects a block west along Eighth Street to Pennsylvania Avenue.

The police first came to the area, believing the situation was under control, and left. However, after the incident, police reacted again when several people fought, pushed and pushed.

Investigators have taken two men and two women into custody. Your identity has not been revealed.

Several Miami Beach Police cruisers were seen in the area while officers worked on the scene.

A triple shootout took place outside the same restaurant on January 31, in which all three victims were taken to hospital. The accused shooter remains on the run.

The most recent incident came hours before a public virtual conference, as city guides and police announced preparations for crowd control for this year’s spring break.

“We expect the worst. We’re planning it, ”said Wayne Jones, Miami Beach deputy chief of police.

It remains unclear whether any injuries were reported in connection with the confrontation.
