Museum of Graffiti companions with The Confidante Miami Seaside for Artwork Basel – WSVN 7News | Miami Information, Climate, Sports activities

MIAMI BEACH, FLA. (WSVN) – Skateboarding is a sport.

It is also an art form which is why it is loved during Art Basel.

Skate through Art Basel to The Confidante Miami Beach and check out their latest art instillation, made for shredding.

Lanette Torres: “To celebrate Miami Art Week, Confidante Miami Beach worked with the Few and Far Crew in collaboration with the Museum of Graffiti. It’s a collection of talented women who partnered with Babe Rose to build this fantastic skate ramp. “

Few and Far added graffiti to the ramp. This is a group of graffiti artists, some of whom also happen to be skaters.

Lanette Torres: “Most graffiti artists are also skaters, so it was the perfect mix of one art and the other. We decided to make it large and in the middle of the two pools so that all guests and the local community can come and see it. “

But before you grab your board, the halfpipe is only for gigs.

So sit back and watch the Skate Nymphs, a girls’ and LGTBQ + plus skate community, land a few gnarled tricks.

Arays Domech: “People can expect us to strengthen each other over the next few days, do cool tricks, land them and have a great time.”

If you’re more of a poser than a skater, check out the 30 Few and Far artworks on display at the hotel, available for purchase.

Or step up your style at the Sprayground pop-up shop in the 1930s home and grab some streetwear swag.

But do it soon, the exhibition can only be seen until the end of the week.

Lanette Torres: “At Confidante, we always strive to involve the local community in order to really highlight the diverse cultural and art scene here in Miami.”

The person of trust can visit the skateramp free of charge.
