“We are very excited to open Esmé’s doors Miamiso that our guests can experience how unique and special this hotel is, “says James Stuart, Director of Infinity Hospitality. “Reinventing and designing a property like this from the ground up and seeing it come to life; I couldn’t be more proud of our team and everything they did to bring this project to life.”
Working closely with Infinity during the renovation of the property, Jessica Schuster Design created a whimsical and captivating backdrop for the Esmé experience. Playing with an artful combination of jewel tones, structured mahogany and gold accents, Schuster’s vision takes guests on a journey through their modern interpretation of classic design elements. Esmé’s rooms and suites offer the thrill of entering a world full of rich rose and emerald colors and the velvety light of the Mediterranean shining through a Miami Lens. Inspired by the happy decadence of days gone by, every detail has been carefully selected, from luxurious Bellino linens and Grown Alchemist toiletries to bespoke furniture and finishes.
Each of the buildings in the village of Esmé is connected by intimate paseo that is filled with the vibrancy and energy of. buzz Miami Beachs newest restaurants and bars.
Infinity advertised Miami-based co-founder of Lost Boy & Co. Chris Hudnall and acclaimed chef Fabian DiPaolo overseeing the Esmé food and beverage program, resulting in El Salón, Bar Pintxo and The Roof at Esmé, three of five dynamic concepts at the hotel that infuse both Spanish and Latin American influences with a little bragging.
After guests have passed the hotel lobby and entered the paseos, guests will discover El Salón, a unique cocktail bar that offers only proprietary blends of basic spirits. With a culinary approach, the Esmé bar team has created recipe mixes that focus on the flavor profile rather than the brand and take the cocktail experience to new heights. Chef DiPaolo has also created an inspired small plate menu celebrating Miami’s Latin American diversity, with Argentine empanadas, Cuban medianoche sliders, and Venezuelan arepas.
Further down the paseo, the Pintxo bar offers a modern take on a Spanish pintxo bar and offers a changing selection of snacks that can be enjoyed with Spanish beer and wine. The casual and entertaining pub-style concept serves bites like Pulpo Pinchose (squid with smoked peppers) and Gilda (anchovy, pickled peppers and olives) alongside Estrella Damm beer, fizzy Txakoli wines and Basque cider. The space will have weekly activations from local artists, musicians and chefs.
The Roof at Esmé connects four of the roofs of the village to a terrace with a bar and restaurant, a pool, cabanas and a wellness area. During the day, guests can take a yoga class or relax by the pool and sample a selection of handcrafted sangrias. In the evening, The Roof is the quintessential culinary experience on the roof with the market-oriented modern Latin American cuisine by Chef DiPaolo. During the night, guests enjoy music under the moonlit sky with a selection of large-format cocktails called Spirited Jugs or reinterpreted classics such as the French 75 and Sparkling Paloma.
To highlight the village of Esmé, Casa Matanza is a stand-alone building, accessible via a tunnel through the Paseos, and leading guests to the more mysterious side of the street on Drexel Avenue. The building is rich in culture and history, and features a darker, more vibrant color palette in its guest rooms. It is also home to The Drexel, a new Mediterranean restaurant on the coast of the team behind it Miami’s acclaimed Mandolin Aegean Bistro and Tropezón, an Andalusian-style kitchen and gin bar by Lost Boy & Co.
Esmé Miami Beach is located at 1438 Washington Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33139.
