Suspect Charged with Rape and Substance Abuse Miami Seashore Vacationer Pleads Not Responsible – NBC 6 South Florida

One of the men accused of drugging and sexually assaulting a late Pennsylvania tourist pleaded not guilty on Monday.

21-year-old Evoire Collier’s lawyers have also filed a motion to suppress the state’s information, including the accused’s so-called confession. NBC 6 will be involved in contesting the motion.

Meanwhile, prosecutors said Collier and Dorian Taylor, both from North Carolina, were in South Beach during the spring break in March when they allegedly drugged, raped and robbed 24-year-old Christine Englehardt. She later died in her room at the Albion Hotel.

Both defendants are in jail without bond pending trial. Neither of them pleaded guilty to the charges brought against them.
