Will Miami Seashore fill in for movie star soccer video games?

A star-studded soccer game in aid of the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation may begin on the beach this November, but the commissioners still have a few questions.

Lissette Garcia, the city’s director of tourism and culture, told the Finance and Economic Resilience Committee on Friday that organizers had requested a total of around $ 19,000 in fee waivers but had not asked the city for financial sponsorship. These exemptions, which cover costs such as police and fire service personnel, could be partially taken over by some city departments but are not free, she said.
