MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Miami Beach Police officers are investigating a single vehicle accident that killed two people on Saturday.
Authorities said the crash happened around 5:30 p.m. along the 3,100 block of Pine Tree Drive.

A man died at the scene of the accident. Three other people, a man and two women, were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital. Miami Beach police later confirmed that the man who was taken to the hospital also died.
Traffic between 30 and 34 Street along Pine Tree Drive was blocked in both directions during the investigation.

Police said their preliminary results indicate that the crashed vehicle was traveling south along Pine Tree Drive.
“You may have tried to avoid a collision with a separate vehicle going north and turning left (going west),” the department wrote on Twitter.
