Here are today’s top stories in Miami:

1. To Resolution “Adopt a Homeless Man” is on the agenda at the next Miami Commission meeting, a suggestion from Commissioner Joe Carollo. The adage is usually used to criticize homeless housing activists and they are outraged when they say that Carollo “cruel and offensive “ and “Distraction from a serious problem.” (CBS Miami)

2. Miami Police Captain Javier Ortizwhich was previously controversial claims he is African American, is now a subject of new litigation. A lawsuit from Miami Police Sergeant Edwin Gomez Allegations retribution through town and Ortiz via a Federal investigation into alleged racist and discriminatory behavior by Ortiz. The other lawsuit comes from a couple allegedly surrendering to Ortiz. sued false arrest and battery they claim to have occurred during one Traffic stop in 2017. (NBC Miami)

3. The Mexican owner of 32 water parks has won Miami Seaquarium rental from Miami-Dade County. Major Daniella Levine Cava says the deal is an opportunity for “Greater accountability oversight and control of this facility.” (Miami today)

4th Miami Police Department told a local news station that a 15 year old teenager broke into a family home and stole several cars and her French Bulldog. The family told the police that they slept in the house during the break-in. (Miami patch)

5. Nightlife fight: Dozens of demonstrators appeared at a Conference of the Mayor of Miami Beach, Dan Gelber Singing and holding signs too “Vote no for the 2am ban.” Protesters say they are trying Save jobs and stop crime. (WSVN)
