Here are the top stories in Miami today:

1. A Police officer in Miami Beach was Discharged from hospital on Monday after months of treatment for COVID-19. Officer JC Sampedro served in the Miami Beach Police Department since 1996 and is a retired US Marine. He was originally hospitalized in July. (Miami patch)

2. A. Florida woman his husband unsuccessful sued for Treatment with ivermectin died of COVID-19. P.Alm Beach County Circuit judge James Nutt denied the lawsuit last month, saying that Allowing judges to contradict doctors’ decisions could set a dangerous precedent. (Click on Orlando)

3. Michael Udine was sworn in as new Mayor of Broward County. Commissioners voted unanimously to lift him from his vice mayor’s post and he’ll hold the title up next november. (WSVN)

4. A. Teacher accused of molesting a 12 year old during a tutoring in a public library in Plantation, the girl’s mother told the story “It was the devil who made him do it”, according to an affidavit. 63 year old Leslie Wolfe was Charged with lewd and lascivious molestation of a victim aged 12 to 16 and lewd and lascivious behavior. 5. Some parents of Catholic students demonstrated on Tuesday morning before Headquarters of the Archdiocese of Miami say they do not want a mask requirement in their schools. The Archdiocese of Miami responded with a statement that read: “As always, the Archdiocese is guided by the best interests of the health and well-being of its 31,000 students and employees in our Catholic schools.” (CBS Miami)
