Shocking new video shows the moment police said an 83-year-old resident stabbed a woman at a senior housing complex in Miami Beach last month.

The surveillance footage obtained by NBC6 on Friday shows the Aug. 4 incident that happened at the Rebecca Towers at 150 Alton Road.

The suspect, 83-year-old John Gula, is facing an attempted second-degree murder charge in the attack, an arrest report said.

According to the report, a witness said building employees told her the victim, Ameila Sola Ortiz, was seen going to speak to Gula about a failed inspection and the state of his apartment.

The video showed Ortiz speaking with Gula and Gula’s girlfriend outside his apartment, the report said.

In the footage, it appears there’s a conversation that went on for several minutes before Gula is seen pulling what appears to be some sort of folding knife out of his pocket and attacking the victim in the doorway of the apartment, the report said.

Ortiz is seen grabbing the knife and throwing it down the hall as she begins bleeding profusely and staggering down the hallway.

Gula, who’s also covered in blood, continues to grab onto her as his girlfriend appears to be trying to pull him off.

The report said he was trying to pull another knife out of his pocket and lunge at Ortiz from behind.

Ortiz was able to get away and into the apartment of another witness, who called 911.

Officers found Ortiz “profusely bleeding from the head and chest area with what appeared to be a stab wound to the torso,” the report said.

She also had a possible laceration to the back of her head and was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center for treatment.

Gula was found by officers and detained a short time later. He was booked into jail and ordered held without bond.
