Seven restaurants in Miami Beach and Key West should be cleaning up right now, as they have been named the best restaurants in the country.
Tripadvisor has announced its Travelers’ Choice Restaurants Awards 2021, in which guests rate restaurants in eight categories: Fine Dining, Everyday Dining and Quick Bites, as well as the new categories Hottest New Restaurants, Picture-Perfect Restaurants, Best Vegan Spots, Best Brunch Spots and Date Night.
Where did Miami shine brightest? Hold on to your Impossible Burger: We have been recognized in the vegan category. Our meat-loving community has spawned the best vegan restaurant in the country, according to Tripadvisor: Full Bloom Vegan in Miami Beach, which even surpassed Philadelphia’s mighty (and delicious) Vedge.
Planta South Beach ranks # 4.
Three more Miami Beach spots made the top 25 list. Peruvian favorite CVI.CHE 105 in Miami Beach by Lima-born chef Juan Chipoco was # 2 in the US in the Everyday Eats category, just behind Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grille in Fort Myers Beach (why, yes, Doc Ford’s is named after Randy Wayne White’s fictional character). Long-running The Front Porch Café in Miami was # 17 in the Best Brunch Spot category.
José Andres’ bazaar was ranked # 16 on the fine dining list. According to Tripadvisor, the best restaurant in the US is the Inn at Little Washington in Washington, Virginia.
If you’re looking for romance in South Florida, you’d better head south. Key West is home to two of the best date night eateries: the Latitudes Restaurant at Sunset Key Cottage was ranked # 4 while Better Than Sex – A Dessert Restaurant on the Island ranked # 11.
A Broward eatery made the list: the popular Laspada’s Original Hoagies in Fort Lauderdale was # 4 on the Quick Bites list.
The ranking is based on reviews from people who have eaten there in the past year.
Full Bloom Vegan was named the best vegan restaurant in the USA at the Travelers’ Choice Restaurants Award 2021 by Tripadvisor.
