Police arrest man accused of taking pictures a Miami Seashore customer within the face – CBS Miami

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Miami Beach police arrested a man who is accused of shooting a visitor in the face.

The shooting took place just before 1 a.m. on Wednesday morning near 63rd Street and the beach.

“[The shooter] walked along the beach, in this case made eye contact with the victim and without any provocation, the subject fired a shot and slapped the victim in the face, ”said Ernesto Rodriguez, spokesman for the Miami Beach Police Department.

Rodriguez said four witnesses said the shooter fled the scene.

Police began a search for Rayner Javier Rosario-Guerrero, who was later found and taken into custody in the North Beach area around 2 p.m.

Police officially arrested him on Wednesday evening on several charges, including attempted murder.

“A lot of investigative work went into identifying this man. I’m not allowed to share the exact way we identified this man, ”said Rodriguez.

Block 6300 in Miami Beach was cordoned off with markings in the sand early Wednesday morning.

When the officers arrived at the scene, they found the victim on the beach with a gunshot wound to the face.

He was immediately taken to the Jackson Memorial Ryder Trauma Center.

“The victim in this case, although we cannot divulge his information, I can say that everyone has visited Miami Beach. The victim in this case is 20 years old, ”said Rodriguez. “And miraculously, after sustaining a gunshot wound to the face, he was discharged from the hospital.”
