A Miami Beach ordinance imposing record-keeping requirements on the city’s sole strip club—enacted after a 13-year-old trafficking victim performed there—is constitutional, a federal appeals court in Atlanta ruled Monday.
The US Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit upheld most of the ordinance, affirming a summary judgment ruling by Judge Federico A. Moreno, who largely handed the city a win in late 2020. The court also agreed with Moreno’s decision to strike down one section of the law on federalism grounds.
