A man and woman are facing charges in connection with a string of armed robberies targeting nightclub patrons’ expensive watches in Miami and Miami Beach, police said.
Adria Banks, 41, and Dwight Gustave, 30, were arrested Monday after detectives determined they were responsible for three armed robberies in Miami Beach and one in Miami, Miami Beach Police officials said.

Investigators said the pair surveilled victims as they departed nightclubs and followed them to their destinations where they would rob the victims at gunpoint.
In one case, from Aug. 2, a man was followed from Miami Beach’s LIV Nightclub to his Airbnb in Miami, where Gustave robbed him of his Rolex, an arrest report said.
Gustave fled the scene in a silver Honda Civic driven by Banks, the report said. The Civic, which was registered to Gustave’s sister, was caught on surveillance video following the victims’ rideshare vehicle from LIV, the report said.
The next day, Gustave allegedly attacked and robbed a victim of their $8,000 Rolex Datejust in the 1800 block of Collins Avenue, an arrest report said.
In one robbery, the suspects forcibly took a $60,000 Audemars Piguet Skeleton watch, police said.
Banks was arrested in Broward County, while Gustave was arrested in Miami-Dade.
Authorities executed a search warrant at Gustave’s home and found over $176,000 in stolen property, including a Rolex Sky-Dweller watch valued at approximately $20,000, an Audemars Piguet Skeleton watch valued at approximately $140,000, and $16,400 in U.S. currency, police said.
Detectives also recovered clothing and a ski mask matching items worn by the suspects during the robberies that were captured on surveillance video, police said.
Gustave had been arrested by the Miami Beach Police in 2020 for robbery-related offenses, and Banks was already on probation for high-end jewelry thefts totaling in over $500,000, officials said.
The arrests were made after an investigation involving police from Miami and Miami Beach and the Miami-Dade and Broward sheriff’s offices.
“This successful investigation highlights the vigilance and professionalism of our detectives, and we are deeply grateful to the City of Miami Police Department and the Miami-Dade and Broward Sheriff’s Offices for their outstanding partnership,” Miami Beach Police Chief Wayne Jones said in a statement.
Detectives are still investigating the pair and are asking anyone who may have been victimized by them to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
