A man wanted on human trafficking and other charges in Las Vegas was arrested in Miami Beach with the help of the FBI, police said.
Dshante Styles, 35, was was taken into custody Friday, Miami Beach Police said in a news release Monday.
According to police, Styles is a known fugitive who was wanted in Las Vegas for a series of violent offenses that include sex trafficking and endangering other persons or property.

Police learned Styles, who they said has an “extensive and violent criminal history,” was believed to be within Miami Beach and were able to track him down using license plate reader technology and FBI intelligence, officials said.
Investigators found a rental minivan being driven by Styles in the 400 block of 10th Street but when police attempted a traffic stop, the vehicle fled.
The minivan was later found in North Bay Village, where authorities saw Styles getting out of the vehicle.
He tried to flee on foot but was taken into custody after a brief pursuit, police said.

Once Styles is caught by detectives, you can hear Styles asking an officer a question.
“How y’all get on me? I’m confused,” Styles asked.
In addition to the fugitive warrant, Styles faces new charges of fleeing and eluding police.
“This arrest underscores the power of partnership and the value of proactive policing,” Miami Beach Police Chief Wayne A. Jones said in a statement. “This individual posed a significant danger to our community and others across the country. Thanks to the coordination and diligence of our detectives and federal partners, a violent offender is now off the streets.”
Police said Styles’ record includes previous arrests for armed robbery, sex trafficking, kidnapping, firearms violations, fraud, burglary, grand theft auto, domestic battery, and parole violations.
“This person fled to Miami Beach thinking he was in a city where he could get away with that, and he was in the wrong city,” spokesperson Christopher Bess said. “If you come to our city, whether it’s from another state or a neighboring city, we will locate you, and you will be held accountable and arrested.”
