Males accused of trafficking marijuana from clothes shops in Miami Seashore – NBC 6 South Florida
Two men were behind bars on Thursday accused of smuggling marijuana from clothing stores in Miami Beach.
Nicholas Cunningham and Simon Mills were arrested Wednesday and charged with trafficking in possession of marijuana and other criminal charges.
Police issued two search warrants against two clothing stores, both named Kush Gods, after receiving complaints about possible drug trafficking.
Over the course of six weeks, undercover agents bought marijuana from both 6th Street and Collins Avenue locations, according to an arrest report. In the end, they confiscated nearly three pounds of marijuana.
“They have been selling marijuana illegally for a long time,” said Miami Beach Police spokesman Ernesto Rodriguez. “That was also a comprehensive approach with our city.
The city revoked corporate tax revenues and both locations are closed.
“These stores are now closed until they can prove they are not operating illegally,” Rodriguez said.
This latest bust is part of the larger police raid on drugs in the city.
