A 19-year-old Miami Beach man has been charged with child pornography after police said he uploaded pictures and videos to a messaging app.
Guillane Kyle Sampang was arrested Thursday on seven counts of transmission of child pornography and possession of sexual performances by a child, an arrest report said.
According to the report, police began their investigation after child sexual abuse materials were uploaded to the Kik app.

Some video files and images showed children between the ages of 5 and 7 engaging in sexual acts, the report said.
After a search warrant was executed at Sampang’s home on Thursday, he admitted viewing and distributing the materials on Kik, the report said.
According to the report, Sampang’s mother gave his cell phone number, which is the same number linked to the email account used for the Kik account.
Sampang was arrested and taken to jail where he was being held on $14,000 bail on Friday, records showed. Attorney information was not available.
