Vendôme opens in the old Rockwell room

Night life is back baby Or should we say Mon cherie.
The latest addition to the South Beach scene: Vendome, sorry Vendôme, with the fancy circumflex above the O. Good luck finding it on your keyboard.
The hotspot brought to us by Mansour Hospitality (Victory in Midtown) is in the room that was formerly occupied by Rockwell in Miami Beach and which closed in February amid the pandemic.
If the name sounds French inspired, that’s because it is. Nightlife vets Mansour Hospitality had the legendary Place Vendôme in Paris in mind when designing the site.
The venue is filled with gold: chandeliers, Victorian frames, mirrored surfaces to take you to the famous square in the City of Light. The interior will also feature a state-of-the-art 70-foot LED screen and “bespoke lighting” to mimic the look of the starry sky that illuminates the actual location in Paris.
As the first major club to open in South Florida in 2021, Vendôme kicks off its first official night on Monday by inviting “Da Boss,” aka local legend Rick Ross, for a special performance.
“The space has been redesigned to pay homage to Paris’s landmark Place Vendôme. It will create a new brand of upscale Miami nightlife with its very own Parisian flair,” said a press release.
Co-founder Jonathan Mansour is excited to bring his concept to life and calls the new club his “dream”. He also emphasizes in this new age emerging from the coronavirus that safety is paramount. Vendôme offers an intimate environment for up to 450 guests and operates at a reduced capacity while complying with the latest COVID security guidelines.
“We have put together a world-class team to run this club and we want to provide incredible service in a safe environment where people can enjoy themselves,” says Mansour. “There is now light at the end of the tunnel as the COVID vaccine is being distributed across the country. We believe we are starting at the perfect time to bring people the kind of experiences they are looking for when live entertainment comes back to life. “
