Video reveals officers making an attempt to avoid wasting girl from burning automobile in North Miami Seashore – NBC 6 South Florida

Newly released police video shows North Miami Beach officers racing to save a young woman trapped inside a burning car after a crash. Despite their efforts, the 24-year-old driver did not survive.

Authorities identified the victim as Julie Eibinder, a beloved member of South Florida’s Jewish community. Friends and family are mourning her loss, and a small memorial now stands at the crash site.

The deadly accident happened on Oct. 1, just before Yom Kippur, with word of the tragedy spreading as the Jewish holiday came to an end.

According to North Miami Beach Police, Eibinder was driving along Northeast 163rd Street when another driver traveling in the same direction cut her off. Investigators said her Tesla then collided with a pole and burst into flames.

Police body camera footage shows officers rushing toward the fiery wreck, breaking windows, and using fire extinguishers to control the flames until rescue crews arrived. But by the time the fire was out, Eibinder had already died.

Rabbi Alexander Kaller of the Chabad Russian Center described Eibinder as “a young, beautiful woman” who had been a vital part of the Jewish community since childhood.

“She was very, very positive. She was always smiling. She was the kind of person that would walk into the room, and the mood would change like this,” Kaller said. “She was the heart and soul of our young professionals community, and this was her passion.”

Eibinder worked at a local Jewish Community Center and had recently started her own party planning business.

Police have not yet identified the driver accused of cutting her off or announced what charges may follow.
