New video shows the moments before police said a man accidentally shot a woman while showing off his gun in his Miami Beach apartment.

Leonardo Amezcua, 51, was arrested on charges of culpable negligence and tampering with evidence in the incident, which happened back on July 19 at his apartment in the 100 block of West Avenue, an arrest report said.

According to the report, Amezcua had been drinking at a bar co-owned by the victim throughout the night before going back to Amezcua’s apartment with two other people.

The cell phone video, obtained by NBC6 on Wednesday, shows the group discussing the sale of an expensive watch.

“I know what that watch is,” one man says.

“How much you want it?” another man replies.

“If it’s real, 150 minimum,” the other man says.

“150? It’s 750 thousand, a quarter of a million dollars,” the other man says.

A short time later, Amezcua says “I gotta show you something,” and the video ends.

According to the arrest report, he went and got a gun and while he was showing it off it suddenly discharged, hitting the woman in her left arm.

The woman was taken to Mt. Sinai for treatment and later interviwed by detectives.

“The victim does not know why he brought the firearm out and stated that it was negligent and reckless of the subject handling a firearm while being intoxicated,” the report said.

The report said officers knocked on Amezcua’s apartment door for 30 minutes with no answer, prompting SWAT to respond to the building, though Amezcua continued to not respond as officers tried reaching him by phone.

Officers even used a drone to reach his balcony and it captured footage of him cleaning blood off a floor with a towel in the area where the shooting happened, the report said.

Amezcua eventually surrendered to police and was booked into jail.

He told investigators that “he does not have recollection of the incident, other than he was drinking all night,” the report said.
