Dylan’s Chocolate Bar is closing on Lincoln Highway in Miami Seashore

Too bad. Big crap.

The colorful candy store Dylan’s Candy Bar on Lincoln Road is closed. The last day of the operation was Saturday.

Entrepreneur Dylan Lauren opened the family favorite in Miami Beach in 2011 – filled with candy in bulk, giant lollipops and gummy bears galore.

The daughter of designer Ralph Lauren, nicknamed “Willie Wonka in a dress,” turned her love for sweets into a lifestyle and founded Dylan’s Candy Bar in 2001 in New York City.

“I love the taste, but I also appreciate sweets for all their qualities: colors, shapes, textures, packaging,” Lauren told the Miami Herald shortly after the opening. “It makes me happy just to look at it.”

A clerk at the store told the Miami Herald that while this place was ready, if you were in the area, you could visit stores in Los Angeles, New York, and The Hamptons. DCB also runs a brisk online business and is currently offering specials for Mother’s Day.
