Horror within the spring break in Miami Seashore: girl discovered useless in a resort room who’s remembered as “humorous and exquisite”

The relatives of the 24-year-old Pennsylvania woman, who was reportedly drugged and raped and later found dead in a Miami Beach hotel room, remember her as “amazing people” and “beautiful girl”.

The Miami-Dade Medical Examiner’s Office is reportedly still working to determine the cause of death of Christine Englehardt after the young woman’s half-naked body was discovered at the Albion Hotel in South Beach on Thursday.

Investigators found she was drugged and sexually assaulted, the Miami Herald and the New York Post reported. The suspects reportedly stole their credit cards and left less than an hour after arriving.

Evoire Collier, 21, and Dorian Taylor, 24 – both from Greensboro, North Carolina – have been arrested and charged with sexual battery, battery burglary, minor theft and fraudulent use of a credit card, the Herald reported. Other charges could follow depending on the medical examiner’s determination, officials said.

Collier told investigators Taylor allegedly gave Englehardt a “green pill” that he believed was Percocet, the Herald said.

As the investigation continues, relatives mourn Englehardt, a young woman whose “life has been taken from her,” according to a GoFundMe created to raise money for her funeral and memorial expenses.

“Everyone who knows this beautiful girl knows that she had the biggest heart and that her laugh was unforgettable,” says the fundraising page. “She would do anything for a person in need and it was always fun to be here no matter what.”

The GoFundMe describes how Englehardt’s attacker did not deserve the spotlight and “stole this woman’s entire future in a very disgusting manner, leaving her mother and father in great heartbreak.”

“I’m not going to talk about what happened to her because it’s not about that,” the site continues. “This is about their lives and how the family deserves to be supported in raising such an amazing person, only to have them taken away from us way too soon.”

As of Wednesday morning, the site had raised $ 29,332, more than $ 9,000 above the target of $ 20,000.

In a post on her alleged Facebook page from July 2019, Englehardt terrifyingly urged her followers to “join in” [their] good “after having a frightening experience with what she believed to be a” predatory scheme “.

“So if you ever feel unsafe in any way or feel that something is wrong, don’t hesitate to notify the police,” she wrote at the time. “Please be wary of any suspicious people or cars. Unfortunately, this is a dangerous world now and you never know what someone’s real intentions are.”

Meanwhile, Taylor and Collier were in Miami court on Monday where Collier’s sister requested that he be released for the family, according to a broadcast shared by NBC Miami.

“I am very confused about these allegations and allegations against him, but I can testify to his character and I can testify that he is on trial on all charges,” the woman told Judge Mindy S. Glazer. “If you will please let my brother come home and let our family handle the situation appropriately, we will do whatever Miami-Dade County asks us to do.”

According to the Daily Mail, Glazer ultimately ordered both men to be detained without attachment.
