Here are the top stories in Miami today:
1. Two cities in Broward County, Deerfield Beach and Wilton Manors, voted last Tuesday to impose term limits on politicians. Political action committees (PACS) funded by police unions, hospitality companies and other special interests attempted to stop voters from voting for term limits. (Florida Politics)
2. The Lincoln Road District in Miami-Dade is growing once again with a storefront occupancy rate of 85 percent. Recent brands opening stores in the area include Chinese fashion brand Yoyoso, Barcelona’s Mango, and West Elm furniture and home decor. (MiamiToday)
3. A utility agreement has been signed with Miami-Dade’s Water and Sewer Department by the developer for downtown Miami’s 100-story Waldorf Astoria supertall tower. Construction is now underway. (The Next Miami)
4. City Place Doral is transforming into a winter wonderland this holiday season from Nov 17 to Dec 31 The event this year is called “Light Up The Night” and will feature plenty of lights, Christmas trees, magic snowfalls, arts and crafts, and more. (Miami’s Community News)
5. Miami Beach residents voted Tuesday to approve $159 million in bonds to invest in arts and culture throughout the area. The city estimates it the cost per $100,000 of taxable value would be around $21 annually. Most of the money will go toward the demolition, reconstruction and reopening of the Byron Carlyle Theaterhe. (Subscription: Miami Herald)

- A security guard shot and wounded a rider at the HIstoric Overtown/Lyric Theater Metrorail station on Friday afternoon. The station is located next to the Brightline Miami Central station. (WPLG Local 10)
- Miami-Dade Commissioners will decide Tuesday whether to approve a development and lease agreement with Royal Caribbean Cruises that couldn’t Miami-Dade County nearly $2.8 billion over half a century. (Florida Politics)
